Mike Andre

Mike Andre, Director/Software Engineer

Air Force veteran. Graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science in 1984. He worked in data processing for over 23 years including Nationwide Insurance and Lucent Technologies. He also taught computer science at the college level for several years where he designed and incorporated technology in his classroom. Mike has been working with the Ohio Center of Essential School Reform for five years.



Linda Harris

As a Business Manager of the Ohio Center for Essential School Reform, Linda brings more than 20 years' experience in administrative management. Her professional background includes 3 years at KnowledgWorks Foundation working with the Ohio High School Transformation Initiative, two years with the Decorative Arts Center in Lancaster Ohio, in the startup and renovation of the Reese Peters historical home and arts center, 7 1/2 years as Office Administrator and Sales Associate for the Columbus office of Right Management Consultants in Worthington, Ohio, eight years with Drumstick/Nestlé U. S.A. a Fortune 500 manufacturing company, where she held increasingly responsible administrative positions reporting to the CEO, Vice President of Finance and Vice President of Engineering.

In addition, she has held positions as Coordinator of Office Services and Sales and Marketing Administrator. While at Nestle USA, she was responsible for organizing and implementing a corporate travel system utilizing SABRE System. She was directly responsible for assimilating the Division’s portion of the three-year corporate plan. Linda developed and led training classes in Computer Basics, Word Processing and Lotus programs. In addition to her interest and ongoing professional development in computer programs, Linda has had training in Statistical Process Control and the Deming philosophy.



Jim

James L. Brinckerhoff, Consultant

Mr. Brinckerhoff has served as assistant director at the Mid-East Career and Technology Center, high school principal in the Eaton City Schools, and high school principal in the Ansonia Local Schools. He also served as high school principal, K-8 principal, and a junior high teacher in the Madison Plains Local Schools. The many opportunities to work with students, teachers, administrators, and parents has enabled him to better understand how teachers teach and how students learn.

   Mr. Brinckerhoff served as a school-to-work coordinator in Preble County where he organized and conducted educational externships for teachers. Also, he was a high school principal, responsible for planning professional development for teachers and classified staff grades k-12. He has mentored new administrators, chaired a special education committee and prepared bids for all moveable equipment for a new high school. Mr. Brinckerhoff graduated with a Masters from Central State University in Guidance and Counseling, administrative certification from the Ohio State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in comprehensive Social Studies from Cedarville University.




Betsy Moore

Betsy Moore is a veteran teacher from Reynoldsburg City Schools with over 28 years of experience. Ms. Moore earned her Bachelor's Degree from Miami University in Elementary Education (K-8) and Special Eduaction (Learning Disabilities and Behavior Disorders, K-12). She has taught both general education and special education at the K-5 level at Herbert Mills Elementary School in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Ms. Moore earned her Master's Degree in School Counseling in 1996 from the University of Dayton. Ms. Moore has been with the Literacy Curriculum Alignment Project since it began in 2000 and she and the staff members at her school first implemented a short cycle assessment process in 1999. Ms. Moore has developed a lot of the training curriculum for the short cycle assessment process, and she serves as the lead trainer in many of the school districts.

Sharon taught first and third grades from 1970 to spring of 2002 for the Switzerland of Ohio Local School District. In March of 2002, she was employed as the Literacy Curriculum Alignment Coordinator for the Switzerland of Ohio Local School District. Sharon worked with approximately 150 teachers, grades K-8 in all subject areas.

During her employment from 2002-2006 with Switzerland of Ohio, she was involved with the curriculum, the textbook adoption, KRAL (Kindergarten Readiness Assessment), the state's Diagnostic test, Kindergarten screening, and the teacher inservice day. She have also conducted inservices with other local elementary school.

Sharon was employed at Marburn Academy in Columbus for the summer session for four summers utilizing the Wilson Reading and Spelling Program. She was also a SIRI coach. Sharon retired in May 2006, and now employed part-time with the Switzerland of Ohio Local School District as the LCAP Coordinator. I am also a Praxis III assessor for the Ohio Department of Education and help evaluste student teachers for Muskingum College. In her spare time, Sharon enjoys swimming, shopping, snow skiing.
