Norms for Text-Based Dialogue

-- Focus on the text; refer to the page and paragraph.

-- Focus on clarifications, amplifications, and implications.

-- No stepping on another's talk.

-- Even when giving your opinion, relate it to the reading.

-- Engage in active listening by building on what has
already been said.

-- No stepping on another's talk.

-- Raising of hands is not needed; freely dialogue with one another.

-- The facilitator does not participate in the dialogue.
